Managing hazardous spills quickly and safely and avoiding contamination
Unnecessary noise should be kept at a minimum. Some sites have noise curfews.

SAVING ENERGY & RECYCLING
Where possible, turn off non-essential equipment that is not being used and ensure unnecessary lighting and air conditioning is turned off after each clean.
Where possible, packaging and other cleaning products should be recycled to minimise the waste stream.
CHOICE OF PLANT, EQUIPMENT, TOOLS
When purchasing new plant or equipment consideration should be given to energy consumption levels, chemical levels required and pollutants.
CHOICE OF CLEANING AGENTS/CHEMICALS
Avoid, to the extent possible, non-biodegradable, polluting, toxic or hazardous substances.
STORM WATER DRAINS
Cannot use storm water drains to wash down or dispose of waste.
