![]() The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other. ~Burton Hillis ----------------------------------- Wishing you a Merry Christmas
and a happy new year from managament and staff
Goodbye 2005, Welcome 2006!Last year was another good year for Duticall with an increasing number of new Clients and higher profits. Consistency of service personnel throughout the year has undoubtedly led to a better response to Client problems and a greater understanding of Client needs. As a result, there was a substantial fall in lost Clients. Special projects during the year included successfully servicing 72 stands (for 3 days) at the Qld Truck and Machinery Show in the RNA Showgrounds in May. This was Duticall's 5th year of Shows having first commenced in 1997. Next year promises to be another great year for the company with Client billings expected to exceed $2.5 million pa. Both annual billings and profits for next year are expected to increase by over 16%.
Duticall's Internet PresenceThis year Duticall commenced a programme of developing its web site and internet presence. Although there have already been a number of internet enquiries, it is likely that this approach will take 6 months at least to prove truly successful. We will keep you updated on our progress. One of the interesting aspects of this programme is to guess the keyword or keywords that internet users would enter when looking for an office cleaning service. If you have a moment, it would be sincerely appreciated if you could respond to this email by submitting your own suggestions .Thank you in advance for your help. Cleaning Acoustic CeilingsLast month Acoustic Clean was called upon to clean just under 500 square metres of plasterboard ceiling panels in a transport office in Bradman Street, Acacia Ridge. The difficult thing about this job was that the ceiling panels, which were originally PVA painted, were very old and in some cases the paint covering was very thin. In addition to this, many of the panels were quite badly marked. Whilst alerting the Client to the fact that some of the scuffed tiles would remain marked, Acoustic Clean was confident that the overall result would prove to be satisfactory (and certainly a much cheaper prospect than painting or replacing - saving 75% to 90% of those costs). With these type of ceiling panels, Acoustic Clean needs to apply a mixture of selected chemicals in a spray mist form and then agitate the solution with a long haired broom. Care has to be taken at this point to ensure that the PVA paint is not removed with the dirt. The remaining slurry is wiped clean from the panels by using nappy cloths over sponge poles. The team chosen for this job spent 10 hours on a Saturday to complete the work but during that time did also replace a number of broken light diffusers as part of the overall service. The office occupants and building owner were very happy with the end result. More about Acoustic Clean at this link
